Over the past 21 years, Ignite Your Learning has helped more than 2000 students build their confidence and achieve great results for NAPLAN, school assessments and the HSC without suffering late-night, last-minute stress.
Unlike many tutors who provide generic instructions without taking time to really understand what each student needs (the tutor just turns up and asks, “So, what do you need help with today?”), we talk with each student BEFORE their session and tailor lesson plans to bridge specific skill gaps and learning goals. Taking this extra time builds rapport and trust, leading to more engaging, effective and enjoyable tutoring sessions.

As a student, I always struggled in group, classroom environments. There were always a few really confident students, and the rest were often too afraid to put up their hands. And as a parent, seeing your child struggle and be unable to reach their potential, can just be heartbreaking.
Since 2003, we have been supporting students through private and very small group coaching to attain the knowledge, skills and confidence that have allowed them to thrive in the classroom and have fulfilling, successful careers. We are a teacher-run, student-focused organisation, supporting students to fill the gaps that can only be seen through consistent, one-on-one work with a coach who makes them feel safe to make mistakes and encourages them to do their best. All our sessions are 100% interactive where, rather than a lecture-style approach, we ensure students are constantly being engaged by skilled and targeted questions and activities, that not only build knowledge, but also the ability to think and confidently apply those skills in difficult, high-pressure situations.
For me, the biggest reward of our work is the confidence we instil in our students, and the peace of mind our parents gain by seeing their child happy and succeeding, regardless of whether they're in Year 2, or Year 12.
