Burnout
Are you feeling tired and frustrated right now with everything going on?
I know I am. I hear a lot about burnout, uncertainty and falling behind, and frankly, it can get overwhelming.
Here are a few things that I recommend for staying positive, and avoiding burnout:
🔥 Spread your work out but still create specific tasks.
🔥 Give yourself time limits for each task ⏱️ Procrastination is extremely common when you have more time available. So instead of wasting 3 hours to complete a task that should take 45 minutes because you got distracted with your phone, grabbing food, or having a chat, give yourself a specific time limit. Complete the task, tick it off your list, and then do other things!
🔥 Designate a time for study 🕘 You know that feeling of satisfaction when you tick off a completed task and move on? It’s the best! So designating time for study can give you that extra motivation. For example, set your study times between 9am-11am for a specific number of tasks and then enjoy yourself in that free time afterwards. That way, you don’t feel guilty that you haven’t done enough, and you’ll properly get ‘down time’ which is so important right now.
🔥 Reward yourself! ⭐ When you get things done, find something that will make you feel good after a productive study session.
🔥 Do something you wouldn’t usually do 🌇 Change your daily routine by doing something different each day. You could set a time to watch the sunset, go for a bike ride or walk through a different route, or bake something yummy for yourself or your family.
🔥 Whether you’re doing exams now, or have your HSC fast approaching, you have the power to create each and every day in a way that works for you. So try designating your time for study, setting clear tasks to complete, and most importantly HAVE SOME FUN and reward yourself!
